John Hunter cannot believe his father has ordered him to find his soon to be stepdaughter, Mila. His father Lord Franklin Westing had called him to Earth because he is soon to be married and Mila is missing. Somehow this party going socialite has gotten involved with some very bad men. Now these men are demanding five million Earth dollars for her return. Most people think John runs an outpost for tourist but his father is aware he is involved in covert missions. John finds this mission irritating and assumes his father just wants him to do it because he won't have to pay him. What John does not know is that Mila is more than he expects and his life is just about to get interesting.

Hunting Mila this story is titled for John's mission to find Mila. This is a fun story where the main character of John doesn't know what is happening around him. It is a case of assuming something about a person from appearances. The characters are colorful and fully developed in appearance and personality. Mila does a wonderful job of portraying a party going socialite for her family and friends as she goes about leading a double life. Both John and Mila have many things in common, such as their double lives. There is also their love of guns and their inability to keep their hands off each other. The chemistry between the two is combustible. They are either going to kill each other or burn each other alive with their passion. This is a sexually explicit story that describes the interactions between these two characters in graphic detail. Their sexual encounters are choreographed in such a way to make them easily visualized. The dialogue is well written and successfully communicates the feelings and attitudes of the characters. Melissa Schroeder has written a fascinating and imaginative futuristic story that is also an enjoyable sexy read.
