| Theo Bourne, a powerful phantom, has returned to his home town to accept a new assignment on the Preternatural Task force.
Carlos Ramirez is his new partner on the force. Carlos is smitten with Theo and wants to be partners in every sense of the word. Fighting through memories of a painful past, Theo isn't interested in a relationship. Besides they have a horrific murder to solve. Theo's resistance will not stop Carlos from getting what he wants. The murderer may have other ideas. Right from the very hot and attention grabbing beginning, I knew this book was going to be a good read. I genuinely liked the story. An engaging well paced plot with likeable characters told in first person point of view (Theo's). The Hunting Moon is a fun ride and action packed with special effects not seen outside of a action movie. The banter between the main characters is funny and heartwarming. There are many tender moments, and of course the hot m/m sexual scenes. My one little niggle is the frequent nightmare sequences. I understand the author was providing a back story into one of the main characters struggles, less on this particular angst would have worked for me. I'm not sure what plans the author has as far as sequels are concerned but this one deserves a follow-up. A good shifter story you will enjoy.
