| The first time Lara Farr saw Wyatt Hanson she was drawn to him. Valentine's Day is a tough day to get through when you are alone. Clearly this man was lost in thought standing in front of the Valentine's Day card rack. She asked him if he needed any help but he, dazed though he was, assured her he was okay. A few hours later, Lara was overlooking her crowded restaurant, The Blue Hyacinth, when she noticed one of the prime tables was vacant. When she queried her staff, she was told the table was reserved -- they did not accept reservations.
That's when she saw him again -- the man from the grocery store. He still looked lost—he was a widower and this table had been “theirs” when she was alive. He was lost in the past and she was locked in her own prison by fear of commitment. Her previous long-term relationship ended because he didn't want to get married. This is my first book by Annette Irby. I certainly don't think it will be my last. This introduction to her work is very positive. It is a dynamic, fast-paced book which was hard to put down. This emotionally-charged glimpse into their spirituality is intense but not pushy. The strong main characters needed little support from others. Irby has a way of grabbing attention. I look forward to reading other work by her. I recommend this book for any and everybody.
