Brenna had been abducted and her mind ripped to shreds by a serial killer, barely escaping with her life. It’s been a long road back, and sometimes she isn’t quite sure that the Evil that had come into her head had left completely. The only time she feels grounded is when she is close to Judd, but he doesn’t want anything to do with her. Or does he?

I really love this series, the characters always have so many personal issues and struggles with right and wrong going on in their lives that you can’t help but turn the page to see what happens next. Brenna has been brutally attacked, but refuses to let that stop her from living her life. I loved her spunk and the fact that she wasn’t always super woman who shrugs it all off without a hitch; she had some issues that were very hard to work through and the pain of it showed. Judd is a wonderful character too. So sure that he is ruthless and meant for his job that he thinks he can’t feel anything, until he starts seeing Brenna. They have many obstacles that seem insurmountable, and you can’t help but cheer them on. I think it’s necessary to read the first two in the series to understand some of what is going on, but trust me it’s no hardship. I think this is another hit in a wonderful series, don’t miss the first two or you will regret it!
