The small town of River Bend, Ohio, had an emergency city council meeting and 46-year-old Jane Smith, a known pillar of the town, wished she had not answered her phone. She was scheduled to take a long-delayed, much anticipated, two-week vacation starting tomorrow; however, now she had been elected as the assistant to Bobby Wayne, new screen star and 28-year-old heartthrob of the free world! Jane’s entire life had been lived in this little town; her business and her friends here were her entire life. Still single, everyone thought her time was easily re-routed. He was to arrive, entourage in tow, within the hour!

Bobby Wayne, star that he was, did not always look happy or content; in public, he and his co-star, Anna Wright, were a hot item. Off camera, he had no patience with her petty attitude or that of his producer/promoter, Reggie Manx—a greasy-acting little man who liked to believe that he had total control. When it came to contract status—he did!

Ms. Rhiannon Neeley has written a lighthearted, yet poignant story about a May-December romance which was perfect—no, it was not to be! The plot of this book was a great read and the characters were so real, it seemed as if they would actually jump off the pages and converse with the reader! The sexual scenes were extremely well written, sensual, yet not too explicit. The supporting characters were multi-dimensionally penned so that I could either love or hate (but not ignore) them.

This book took several turns which I was not expecting, and the ending was a big surprise! There were no parts of the story which were dragging and the entire book flowed well. Good job, Ms. Neeley! I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read a romance with twists, but not suspense. It’s a great book!
