| Meah has been away from Gothman and her claim, Andru, for five years.
As her age of searching ends, the mystical Dog Woman tells her to go
home. At home in Gothman, Darius, Leader of Gothman has decided that
he wants and alliance with the Neurians for their oil, so he decides
to declare Meah dead so he can claim their leader's daughter.
Naturally, if Meah is declared dead she has to be killed, so now there
is a price on her head. Neither Andru nor Darius know about the
4-year-old twins that she is bringing back with her, Andru's children.
The oldest is heir to Gothman. But there are other trials facing Meah
back home. Andru has been prodigiously unfaithful with anything in a
skirt. There are many changes in store for all of them, the Runners,
and Gothman.
This continuation of the Nuworld Saga brings Meah and Andru back together along with the children he didn't know he had. Andru is still as arrogant as ever and unnaturally attached to his twin sister. Meah and Gilroy seem to be following in the family tradition. Other than the incest issue, which will make some readers uncomfortable, this is a fast moving story with a little something for everyone. There are no slow points in the story and the reader will never be bored or lose interest in the main characters. They are all very likeable despite their flaws. This is a good addition to the series.
