| Micky James Foreva and Dandelion (Dande) Marie Fields got married! What a beautiful setting. Add the reception and you have a dream come true! After dating one year and being engaged another, Dande’s parents supplied the perfect setting for sharing their lives with their friends and family. Micky was the star hockey player for the Detroit Red Wings so Dande’s mother had decorated the reception hall with everything soccer! She served homemade pizza for the sit-down dinner. What more could they possibly want?
Seldom do things turn out as expected when the author, in this case, Deborrah Girard, wishes to stir things up! I was very impressed with the plot in the story of this bride and groom; never have I imagined that these circumstances could ever take place. I love the style Ms. Girard has with her storytelling; she is upbeat and playful but also serious and detail oriented. Ms. Girard gives weight to the impact of the sub characters, but does not allow them to overtake the main characters. I loved the author’s portrayal of the couple and the way she shows the necessity of compromise. It is obvious that neither one of the newly-weds has ever had to put someone else in first place. I loved how Father Rex, the pastor who had overseen many of Dande’s escapades. He showed great wisdom when dealing with these young people who were caught up in a whirlwind. I loved this book and recommend it highly!
