| Anthropologist Edie Campbell is thrilled to discover an unknown species of some form of part humanoid, part creature male when she is called in to consult with the local medical examiner on two murdered bodies. But the case starts getting really weird when she discovers that the human female had recently mated with the strange male creature. And the case just becomes more complicated when the very sexy Aidan LaMont shows up to claim his female cousin's body and he appears to know something about the creature found with his cousin...
Immorati is an unusual yet fascinating story of an unknown race that has been living right next to the “regular” people of Pine Haven for centuries. There is also a group of mysterious people who know what the creature is and are sworn enemies. For Edie the possibility of making history by discovering a new species will have to be balanced with the needs of people who have remained a secret forever. I liked both Edie and Aidan but if Edie learns too much about Aidan or the creature she'll put her own life at risk. Plus Aidan has responsibilities to his people and Edie is an impossible complication that he can't afford. If you love new species or alternative realty type stories, secrets, romance, and mysteries, you will like Immorati!
