| Elizabeth Debonaie is walking home late one evening from her job as a tavern
maid when she is attacked by two drunken sailors. Fighting for her life, she
escapes the sailors only to run into another figure in the darkness. Too
late, she discovers the third man, Adrien, is a vampire. Adrien feeds upon

Unbeknownst to him, Elizabeth drinks a drop of his blood from a bite on his
lip that will bring her to the land of the undead. Thinking she will die, Adrien
leaves her for dead but returns soon after planning to bring her over to
immortality, only to discover she has vanished. Elizabeth's fate has now landed
in the hands of a fourth man, Mikel, who is also a vampire. Despite his belief that
Elizabeth has died, Adrien searches for her, finding himself unable to go on
without her.
Elizabeth stays with Mikel for eleven years. Although he provides for her every need, he is a monster with no love or compassion. His only use for Elizabeth is as a weapon against Adrien whom he blames for the death of the woman he loved. When Elizabeth finds an opportunity to get away from Mikel, she escapes to America. But Mikel is determined to not loose what he considers his. Soon, Elizabeth finds herself being chased by both Adrien and Mikel. IMMORTAL DESIRES is a wonderful mix of romance and the paranormal. The story begins in the 1900's and caries us through to modern times. With strong characters, non-stop action, and heartfelt passion, author Shannon Leigh keeps the reader hooked till the end.
