It is the year 1885. The widowed Lady Lynette Edwardmoore fits the image of born and bred Society like no other. The slightest hint of improper anything would not be tolerated. But on this morning she is given a glimpse into something that makes her breath quicken, and her entire outlook on life change. Gone are the days when certain inhibitions she was raised with, but never understood, would be present. But is she doomed to live with the constant need to hide her desires? p> This is absolutely one of the top novels I've ever read. So very enjoyable was the recognition Lynette, in the space of a moment, allows herself, in spite of social mores being broken, to indulge herself and her curiosity; to want that "more" than ever offered in the past. AND to say to herself that she will not limit herself from that time on. Nigel's joy, for lack of another word, as he sees that Lynette has evolved into even more than his wildest imagination could hope for, is really tangible for the reader. Finally a kindred soul to occupy that lonely space in his life. Feelings were obviously present on his part years before, as she'd been presented for her season, but then unfortunately the marriage had interrupted his budding courtship. An absolute must read for all who enjoy stories centered around ménage and more. I definitely will look for more from this author.
