Jace is still kicking himself for letting Felicia go. At the time, he thought it was best for her future that they break up, she needed a man who could love her not cause her pain and uncertainty. Even though he let her go, Jace hasn't let Felicia out of his sight for a decade, following her when she moved around the country and charting her through her life progresses. Now he's realized that he needs her in his life permanently and he is ready to claim her again.

Felicia can't believe Jace has the nerve to try to be a part of her life again. Yet she can't deny she's still attracted to him. When she finds that her ex-husband has also begun to court her again, Felicia is frustrated with trying to discourage her past lovers from initiating contact. Suddenly things become unstable and violent as Felicia finds that one of her lovers will go to unimaginable lengths to assure that she remain his, forever.

From the first line to the last, I found this story a thrilling read. Ms. Adams has created dynamic characters that will woo you with their intensity and turbulent histories, but are tempered with passionate love and compassion. Felicia is an independent woman who also enjoys the passion of a relationship and I sympathized with her as she mediated her anger and love for Jace. At first I found Jace annoying in the way men are, (how could he leave Felicia like he did?) yet he too won me over with they way he showed Felicia how he truly loved her and was devoted to her. Ms. Adams writes some hot love scenes that will not disappoint. Peppered with intrigue, mystery and a paranormal element that is well done, readers will enjoy this contemporary story about the strength of love, the power of reconciliation and the long road to happiness.
