This is the third book in the Eternal Pleasure series. I have read the previous books and feel that this one stands alone but believe me you're going to want to go back and read them. Fox has created a fabulous series with dynamic characters. Lily, as expected because of the history shared about her, is kind of a repressed heroine just waiting to come into her own. That happens when she meets Jaret and Toby even though she doesn't know how to handle it. I thought her character was wonderfully written and enjoyed her transformation from shy and repressed to vibrant and loyal heroine and through it all she retains her sweet and gentle nature. Jaret and Toby have been conditioned to distrust all paranormals and I loved how their perceptions changed after meeting Lily and the other characters living in Serene. You just have to love the alpha male who can adapt his thinking and still be the dominant male. My interest was captured during the first chapter and didn't waiver until the final page. The pacing was quick and I found myself thoroughly entertained by the developing plot. Intertwined with the mystery of who wants Lily's suppressed powers was the sexual chemistry between Lily, Jaret and Toby. Psychic voyeurism added to the eroticism and also helped develop the plot since minds were more open and more easily read by others. Their sex scenes were very erotic, emotional and sensual. I loved how the book flowed from beginning to end and look forward to more stories by this talented author.
