| Dante Giovanni is a bounty hunter. Usually he tracks down the dregs of society for a fee, so he is intrigued when he is called to Gary Vandrgriff’s home. Vandergriff wants him to find his estranged daughter and bring her back to him. Dante also has a daughter with whom he has no contact, prompting him to accept the case. It seems easy enough; rescue a girl from her drug dealing stepfather and return her to the arms of her loving birth father. Too bad nothing is as it seems. Vandergriff is not the upstanding pillar of society that he portrays. Nadia is certainly no shy flower either. She is beautiful and gets to him far more than he would wish. This case will land Dante into more trouble that he ever dreamed of, but Nadia is worth it.
This is a fast moving rollercoaster ride of a book from beginning until end. Dante and Nadia are wonderful and vivid characters with a lot of chemistry and snappy dialogue. Vandergriff is just as evil as a villain should be, and the other supporting characters are well drawn and add much to the plot. The author’s gift for description did not end with the characters, the settings were also well described, especially the swamp. The love scenes are very sensual and well written and there is so much action that I didn’t catch my breath until the last chapter of this great story.
