| Sophie Donovan is being stalked by her deceased ex-husband. She has new found family and wealth and would rather deal with the problems of her secret past and buried memories on her own, but her best friend Camellia is determined to help. Camellia's husband Jake is a spy and Marco Willis is his partner and Sophie's lover. Marco and Sophie's relationship is rocky and the fact that Marco is the only one without money bothers him. He wants to protect Sophie, but neither of them is comfortable in their relationship for it to go smoothly. Can they solve her problems before everything goes up in flames?
I found this book interesting but confusing, mainly due to the heroines combustibility. I also found this novel to be a lot darker than I was expecting. I didn't like Sophie, in fact I found her annoying most times. I did enjoy when the two women went to the auction and saved the animals. I felt as if I never really got to know Marco, there wasn't enough background on him. Camellia and Jake seemed to take up much of the story and seeing as they already had their own story I found this tedious. I would recommend that you not read this novel without first reading In Tryst. I myself love learning new things but I suggest the author explain a little more about the henges, Oghman script, ancient religions, etc. I got a little confused and did some of my own research to understand.
