| All Ingram wants in return for a job well done is the payment that will keep him and the crew of his starship, Bruiser, in the air. Cash would do nicely. Instead, he receives Charmara, a sex slave bred for one purpose only: to provide pleasure to her Master. What Ingram doesn’t know is that Charm is a spy, sent to cripple the ship so her old Master can board without difficulty. She’s done it before countless times. Only this time it’s different. The crew of the Bruiser intrigues her, and the man who commands the starship doesn’t just enflame her body, he touches her heart.
Well-developed characters are the highlight of this scorching book. Not only are the hero and heroine instantly likable, but the secondary characters add another layer of intrigue to an already tense plot. Gram’s ward, a little bear who is as fun and rambunctious as Gram is sexy and intense, provides the perfect contrast to the sexual heat. Charm’s seduction skill makes her the ultimate spy, but her attraction to Ingram complicates matters from the beginning. These two have some seriously intense chemistry! Fans of the TV show Firefly will notice a number of similarities between the world building in Ingram’s Charm and the world they’re familiar with. Although at times the similarities are a little close for comfort, Ms. Logen’s world is believable and engaging. Readers who prefer their futuristic romances on the steamy side will be delighted with this book.
