| Rafe Osmond is a Dream Walker, someone who dispels dark dreams humans have. In the years he has been training he has never run into a dream rager, the legendary creatures who steal the lives of the dreamers. One day entering into a menage dream he realizes too late that a rager is also taking part. He had no warning, no feeling of danger. His horror at the experience and his feeling of failure to the teachings of his Master give him a new purpose. His goal now is to catch her, the beautiful Nara, and all other ragers, and end this taking of innocent lives unnecessarily.
Narayani is Head Concubine under the rule of the Conqueror in the Forgotten Palace in Nepal. Hundreds of years of seduction, intrigue, cruelty and unhappiness on her part lead her eventually to discover that she can actually escape the horror in her life by entering the dream realm of others. Taking control over those in the dreams, playing their God, enables her to have the feeling of power she doesnt have in her own life. After years of searching, Rafe finally has the information he needs to get to the Forgotten Palace and find Nara. His surprise once he gets the chance to talk to her and learns more about the Conqueror gives him the understanding of what he actually is dealing with. Will he be able to complete his goal? This was an interesting story, something different from my usual reading but nevertheless very well written. The storyline was well developed and the characters all interesting. I was in suspense as to where the ending might go and was very happy to get what I wanted (nope, not going to give it away!). Definitely a must for all paranormal fans.
