H.O., (Olivia) Tully is a young librarian on her way to work when she stumbles upon a dying man. Upon his death, he reveals his murderers by using the only thing that comes to him in a line from a fifteenth century poem. She realizes that she is the only witness to hear his final words and must solve the riddle. Unfortunately once that happens, she soon discovers that attempts are being made on her life.

Detective Tom Trask has been assigned the task of protecting Miss Tully, after mysterious circumstances surround a death at the public library. He is determined to bring the criminals to justice in any crime but the guarding of a young woman never entered his mind. This is one case where his personal feelings get entangled with his work and unintentionally draws her in grave danger.

Initials For Murder is a book that I could not put down. The characters of Olivia and Tom were delightfully irresistible. I could just see his face both times when he spelled out the initials of both their names. The electric tension the author gave them drew you further into their story. Ms. Louise has made the characters full of charm and splendor of the nostalgia area that you can not help but fall in love with immediately. It reminded me of the old mystery movies in black and white where the handsome detective protects the female in distress, while secretly hoping to win her heart.

Ms. Louise crafted the story so well that I felt drawn right into the year, the surroundings and everything. She has captured the whole ambience of the era. This is my first book by Ms. Louise and it will not be my last. She truly has a way of telling a story that will keep your attention. She definitely hooked me. Initials for Murder is a frolicking good book that I thoroughly enjoyed. You will not be disappointed. This book is a keeper.
