| The Summerville Inn was to be sold at public auction at 10 am on October 31st. The realtor was Beth Heade. Genie King had spent years saving to purchase her place. She was a well-known chef and she wanted her own kitchen. She just needed someone who had hotel education to run the business side of her bed and breakfast.
Jim Rawlings, aged 42, had attended Cornell's School of Hotel Administration. He had a rough background to overcome when he returned to the hometown he left in disgrace. He was a recovering gambler. He wanted the Summerville Inn to turn it into a bed and breakfast—he just needed a renowned chef to work with him. Jim and Genie recognized each other when they showed up for the auction. They realized quickly they were in serious competition with a man who wanted to turn it into a gambling house. They got together to bid and rebuild the place. That's where they got into trouble—they didn't have any idea who they were dealing with. The chief of police, married to the realtor, was backing the gambler. That caused problems from the beginning. This book was fast-paced, interesting, and hard to put down. There was so much suspense written into the book, it was quite intense. The main characters, of course, fell in love. The problems they faced were extreme. The sensuality was very forceful. The passion developed well. There was a strong storyline in addition to the sexual content. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to all.
