Sam Raintree and Dr. Bo Broussard have been a couple for more than a year now. They’ve made it through a lot of bumps and rough times, but are they ready for what they are to soon face? Their business is thriving and they are finally comfortable and happy with each other. Bo and his ex Janine are constantly at each others’ throats. But when Bo’s oldest son Adrian starts exhibiting signs of psychokinesis, the same ability that allows Sam to open and close interdimensional portals, Bo and Sam are worried not only for Adrian’s life, but the whole family.

Ms. Blue has done a wonderful job of creating a story full of intrigue, anticipation, romance and mystical elements. An Inner Darkness shows with clarity the confusion and complexity in today’s relationships with intermingled families and households. You don’t have to be from a “broken home” to understand the characters and to feel for the children in this story. The characters are phenomenal, very lifelike and true to modern day. You can’t help but feel the angst and the weights Adrian carries on his little shoulders. You also feel the helplessness that drags down Bo and the anger that bounces between Janine and Sam.

Plus Sam and Bo sure know how to turn up the heat. Sam and Bo’s relationship is one of the hottest gay romances I’ve ever read. Both men have a dominant and a softer more sensual side. There are soft sensual moments or romance and scorching hot scenes of dominant sex. If you enjoy both sensual and dominant sex, you won’t be disappointed or bored with this read.

This is a very well-rounded story that is brilliantly written and has so many facets to it. If you enjoy books that engage all your emotions, from fear, to sadness, from happiness and to pride, this is the book for you.
