| Josiah Bennett fights in the Civil War and comes home to find his family dead and the woman he fought for married to someone else. The devastating loss of a woman he loved after he was turned causes him take a vow of celibacy to keep that from happening again. Elizabeth Erickson is a radio DJ whose voice captivates him. The two are drawn together. Can Joss continue to keep the vow he made to himself?
Lia Morgan adds a unique vampire to this tale of the night creatures and their loves. A celibate vampire? Who would have ever thought that someone driven by blood lust and sex could ever have that much control? Joss and Elizabeth are both great characters. Their strengths as people seem to draw them as much as lust could. So often vampire stories are driven by sex. Ms. Morgan gives us lust but the two build a relationship before the sex and blood sharing that gives us a much more romantic story. The authors in this series continue to build unique characters that make it excellent.
