They also are struggling with their insatiable attraction to each other, an attraction that Daniel knows will suffer once back in the Federation since Carina will far outrank him.
Fans of Dane's Phantom Corps series will be captivated by Daniel's story. His love for his sister and his duty to the Federation make him a compelling character not easily forgotten. Carina is also a great character, smart, cunning, and the perfect match for Daniel. I loved the contrast between Daniel the leader and Daniel the lover and how Carina struggles to understand and come to terms with both. The fast paced plot filled with dangerous action and heart stopping sensuality will have you turning pages long into the night. The conflict between the Federation and the Imperial Territory is very real and the author doesn't skimp on the dangers of the war between the two. The sex scenes are ultra sensual with great emotional connection between the characters. Dane does a great job furthering the arc of the overall series by setting up storylines for future Phantom Corps books. Readers of the previous books will enjoy a glimpse into Allie and Rowan's lives (Relentless).
