Ella and Cope have known each other for years and each has admired the other from a distance. Now that they are both at a place in their lives where they can pursue a relationship, Cope ups the heat factor and lets Ella know that he wants more than friendship.

The chemistry between Ella and Cope make this a sexy and erotic read but this book also had a sweetness to the story that touched my heart. There is something about big strong macho men that bend over backwards to protect all women that just melts my heart. Cope is a very romantic hero that the world doesn't see but it's the little things that he does that Ella appreciates. Their relationship has simmered for years as she was dating somebody when they first met then struggling to rebuild her life after being attacked. The plot was very believable and realistic. They both have issues and problems but the main focus of the story is their love and how they get to know one another. Their friends play a huge role in their lives so we get to revisit characters from previous books. This book tells a story about friends and family and their joys, trials and tribulations. I felt like I was reading about my best friends. It is romantic, comforting, exciting, sexy, and emotional.
