| Sela has been searching for her mate, the man who will complete her. She is one of a powerful ancient race of beings that are psychic. Her mother has told her that when she finally meets her mate they will be bonded, body and soul. When she meets Jonavon, she's stunned by the instant attraction and the clear psychic connection she's getting from him. Unfortunately, he's engaged to another woman, and this makes Sela back off, but only for a couple of days.
Jonavon can't believe how attracted he was to the woman he met in the store. He was instantly fascinated with her, even with his fiancée Carmen just a couple aisles down in the store. He'd completely forgotten that Carmen was even there until she came up and introduced herself. Now he can't get Sela off his mind, and it's affecting everything, even his relationship with Carmen. Insight is a very short story that moves quickly towards the end. I couldn't really like Sela, she had no remorse about stealing someone else's guy and wasn't very likeable to me. Jonavon just comes across as confused, as anyone would be in his situation. The sex in the story is definitely hot and steamy, just like it's supposed to be in erotica. The over all story line has a lot of promise and with a little more detail would have been wonderful. I think that Annie Rayburn will be an author to watch out for in the future.
