TJ Wilder is an experienced guide who spends more time on tours away from his hometown of Wishful, California, than in it. There is only one person who has him rethinking that strategy: Harley Stephens. He is as drawn to her as she is to him, though neither want to admit it. Harley would rather focus on her internship as a research biologist than the chemistry between her and TJ. Unfortunately, she also needs his expertise to help with her research. The two of them have a hard time keeping their hands off each other and need to decide if they're willing to risk their hearts.

The attraction and sexual tension between TJ and Harley is evident from the very beginning. From the moment she literally runs in to him, the air between them crackles with electricity. Their interactions are generally smoking hot, but they almost always contain both tenderness and humor as well. These are two characters who know each other inside and out and are able to put that knowledge to good use.

All of the characters in the story are well written, which helps keep the story flowing. TJ's family push and prod him and sometimes manipulate situations to try and get him and Harley together because they can see what neither TJ nor Harley want to admit. Similarly, Harley's sister consistently teases her about TJ so he is never far from her mind. They all enrich the story and keep it fresh while they help push it along to what turns out to be a fantastic conclusion.

Jill Shalvis has written a wonderful story to finish off her series about the Wilder men. Her descriptions of the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains paint a wonderful backdrop for the story of two people who love trekking through the wilderness almost as much as they love each other. Anyone who enjoys contemporary romance and the outdoors will definitely enjoy this book.
