Star attraction at Reno's "Heat Wave," AJ Mobley and Tyrone Dahl on dueling pianos, how much better can it get? The best AJ can hope for is to stay Tyrone's best friend. After all, Tyrone's never shown interest. How could he, when there's always someone waiting after the show to take him home -- guy or gal. Tyrone's not particular in his pursuits... or is he? AJ wouldn't know, much to his chagrin. He's never gotten close to Tyrone on a personal level. But when Tyrone lands a deal of a lifetime for the dueling duo in Las Vegas and informs AJ they're to share an apartment, AJ learns he should've opened up to Tyrone a long time ago.

Interlude was a fascinating read. I found the romance beautifully drawn between the very realistic characters, AJ and Tyrone. The best part was the difference in their personalities. While, AJ was a showman at heart, he found it hard to be anything but. Tyrone, on the other hand, could differentiate between his act and his everyday life. This set the sexual tension right away, where each man assumed the other alike. Funnier yet, because of their job, they're forced together. I adore stories centered around music anyway, and loved this set in a piano bar. The highlight though was the characters' interaction. With Tyrone's obliviousness and AJ's aggravation constantly at odds, Interlude made one tense, romantic read, I found hard to put down. For those who like man love -- this story sizzles!
