| Tikki is an alien teenager trying to prepare for her date, unaware of whom the person her father will bring home to meet her. There are some things her caring mother wishes to go over with her before anyone arrives. After all, they don’t have any idea what sort the agency will send. Her mother has ten simple steps to cover which Tikki feels is only making her later in getting ready. She still has to pluck her eyebrows and take care of other matters. Her mother has to make sure all the proper channels are covered so Tikki can find the proper male to bond with. If all that fails, naturally there is always a back-up sure to please, her mother instantly points out.
The Dangers of Interspecies Dating is a delightful read. The reader is caught up in the preparation of Tikki getting all glamorous for her date while her mother eagerly has other measures she wishes to discuss. Donna Watkins spins a witty tale on the yes and no’s of dating within one’s species. I really liked this story. It had some fine points that made it a fabulous story, not to mention an eye opening-ending.
