The oldest child of the Jankowski family, Forrest, has the ability to see into the future. Knowing that his sister is going to need him, he leaves his gig as a fortune teller to work at his sister’s health food café. Unfortunately, that doesn’t sit well with the only employee at the café, Josie. Josie has a plan to buy into the business with Rayne once she finishes college. Believing there is not enough room for three, Josie avoids Forrest at all costs. But when Forrest has a vision of Josie in trouble, he has to convince her that his powers are real and that they belong together.

Looking for a hot story to warm you up when the air conditioner gets a little too cold? Then this is the story for you. The chemistry between Forrest and Josie is sensational. Sparks fly everywhere. Whether it is from them butting heads in the café, outside her classroom or in the bedroom, the sparks are hot enough to singe anyone within 50 feet. Forrest and Josie’s relationship is turbulent and realistic. It deals really well with the issue of interracial relationships in today’s society, but it doesn’t take away from the focus of the story.

In The Cards is full of vibrant lifelike characters. I can’t wait to read the stories for all the Jankowski children. In The Cards is an interesting and animated story that is very well put-together. Another great installment in Paranormal Powers series. The chemistry and the plot will keep you on your toes till the very end. It is very fast paced and full of events that will keep you interested. You have no idea who it is that is causing the danger to Josie until the very end. Not until when his identity is also discovered by Josie and Forrest. In the Cards is one of those fast-paced books that you don’t want to put down until you’ve reached the end.
