All Nicolette wanted was to do something different and have fun for once in her life and to not let someone tell her what to do and how to do it. Drew wanted one thing also, to be taken seriously in his dad's construction business. His dad's test was for Drew to help his cousin build a fence. It's a deal for Drew. He didn't expect to meet Nicolette and the attraction be so strong that they immediately fall in lust with each other. Nicolette has a bucket list of things that she wants to do while she is house sitting and Drew makes sure that he helps her with the list.

This story is a sweet, emotional story about two people who slowly realize that what they really want out of life is not what they have set out to do. I loved the pacing and flow of their romance. While the sex was sweet and hot, it was also a turning point in their lives, separately. It was nice that the author used sex has an emotional bridge between Drew and Nicole, not just putting two characters together and write sex scene after sex scene.

I highly recommend In the Hay for anyone wanting something but getting something better instead. I also recommend that if you haven't read anything by Keri Ford, please do. Her stories are emotional rich and thought provoking.
