| Tania Chalmers, deeply in love with her husband Alex, finds herself drawn to a series of paintings and the artist, Marc Wendell. Several dreams and visions of other women and their loves perplex her nearly as much as Marc’s revelations of reincarnation and their relationship throughout many lifetimes. Tania teeters on the edge between Alex and Marc, needing to make a decision.
In This Life Or The Next puts a unique twist on the woman torn between two lovers scenario. Kallysten has created a remarkable triangle repeated through lifetimes, giving Tania a very difficult emotional decision. I found myself sympathizing with her as she struggled with highly erotic visions of her past with Marc and the various incarnations and lifetimes of their love endured. The author’s very vivid depictions of love enduring lifetimes had me wondering which way Tania would go. In fact, though the solution did not entirely surprise me, it did deeply satisfy my heart as well as Tania’s. While I would have liked the story to be longer, maybe allowing Tania to get to know Marc a little more in this life, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the tension as Tania struggled with her heart torn in two. I highly recommend this story for a quick but satisfying read. I found myself wondering how I would choose in the same situation.
