Gothic

Felicity Worthington believes she has been sent on a mission to kill the Butcher of Beacon Hill to retaliate for her friend's death. Graeme McCracken, Lord Hamel believes he is cursed and that loving him is fatal. He vows to never love again but he can't help himself from falling for the avenging beauty. Will their faith rescue them both?

This was a charming, short and sweet quick read. Both the hero and the heroine are perfect for this soft suspense. Felicity is plucky and staunch in her convictions. Graeme is a tortured soul whom the reader cannot help but fall in love with while wishing for his redemption. The dark elements in this gothic short story lend themselves well to the Christian theme. Fans of inspirational romance have been given an exciting new option for the genre. If you enjoyed Jane Eyre then you will love this historical tale which would be wonderful to read on a dark and rainy night.
