Trixie is very much in love with Shawn. Shawn is a rising rock star and he hasn’t had much time for her lately, though he spends what time he can with her. A definite fly in the ointment is found in his twin backup singers Audrey and Ariel. The two are great backups, but are obsessed with Shawn and jealous of Trixie. Shawn finally manages a weekend away with Trixie but it is interrupted by the gun wielding back up singer twins. One is obsessed with Shawn, the other with Trixie and they are determined to have what they want before they take off with the ransom money they demand from Shawn’s manager.

This is a very suspenseful story and Audrey and Ariel are insane and dangerous. I really appreciated Trixie’s unique weapon. Despite the impression that the two main characters give in the beginning the two are definitely more than just casual lovers. The plot is very well done except for a couple of disjointed areas and Trixie especially is a very appealing character. Shawn is much more human than the usual rock star main character. I just wish I knew who John was and why Trixie apologizes to Shawn about Ariel. Other than those two points this was a very good story.
