| Isabel Shephard has come to West Virginia to scout locations for a movie. Needing someone to give her a tour of the local area she hires Joe Beckett. Joe is everything a woman could desire, incredibly handsome, rich, polite and attentive. There is an immediate attraction between the two and Isabel would not mind getting to know Joe better. Joe knows he has met his soul mate and will do anything to keep her; that includes drugging and kidnapping her. Although Joe gives Isabel everything she desires, she does not stop trying to escape. Joe will do nothing except stop her from leaving him hoping that she will come to realize that she loves him.
The Appropriation Of Isabel by Elle Emriche will have people talking. What would you do if a man kidnapped you and then went about trying to make every one of your dreams come true? Are you angry and scared because he takes your choices away? Or do you stop and realize you are happy with what he is doing? If he can drug you and kidnap you what else is he willing to do to get what he wants? Does he desire you so much that he is afraid this is the only way you can get to know him? I went back and forth the whole time I read this book trying to decide the answers to these questions. I feel that a lot of women have the desire for a man to take control and a kidnapping fantasy. I feel any book that has me asking all these questions and considering answers will definitely be a hit with the readers. The story is full of passion and chemistry. The sexual tension between Isabel and Joe is there from their first meeting. Their encounters are steamy and creative and described in explicit detail. Although kidnapping is not a new concept in romance especially if you consider the historical or futuristic romances it is the concept that this is something that could actually happen this present day that I found so interesting. Elle Emiche has created a passionate adventure that will leave the reader thinking. What would I do?
