In this work we meet Sophie Green, airline employee. She is blonde, stacked and bored. Soon she is recruited (shanghaied?) by the ultra secret SO 17, but she is probably the most inept spy in the business. Her survival is pure luck most of the time, but she has a way of getting the job done.

This is the beginning of one of the funniest series I have read in a long time. I did this backwards reading the other two before the first, but they all stand alone and this is the best of the bunch. The concept of an airport employee moonlighting as a spy has all kinds of possibilities and the author makes the most of them. Sophie is very funny and has a pretty unique way of looking at the world. The characters are well drawn and very unique, the plot has so many twists and turns that you will never guess the ending, and the romance is pretty hot. Lucas is the quintessential British spy, very hot. Even Sophie’s car Ted is a great character, and only she can love the crazy cat Tammy. The author has a real gift for snappy dialogue and funny situations and Sophie finds herself in a lot of those. If you like quirky characters and humor this series is one that you will enjoy.
