| Issy has always had a crush on her brothers’ friend Tyler. He always made her so nervous that as a teenager, she tended to stutter and trip over her own feet. She is grown up now and has a chance to make the national rugby team with a month left in the season. She does not know how to handle her new replacement coach, none other than Tyler himself. She cannot afford to be clumsy at this stage in the season, but Tyler has a very different outlet for her nervous energy in mind.
Issy and Tyler are very charismatic characters. They are both successful athletes in the same sport and grew up together. That alone should bring them together, but the author has given them an extremely powerful sexual chemistry that really comes out in the love scenes. The story line of the Jets season and Issy’s dream of making the national team by no means takes second place. The author tells a great story of hard work, hope, disappointment and success in the end, all with a really hot love story. Issy’s brother and teammates are a great background to the story. I don’t know much about rugby, but the author captures a fast moving, exciting and sometimes dangerous sport in such a way that I could actually understand it.
