Trapped by familial obligations, engaged to a fiancée he doesn't love, and crippled by the regrets of his past, Dr. Bradley Durrant is miserable and rapidly caring less about his own health as he works himself to the bone at the family hospital. Until an encounter with his late father's old friend and his grandson changes his life.

I have to congratulate J. Rocci for a great book. The story was well developed and the characters were built like normal people with normal problems. I loved the character William Windham III, and the lesson we learn from his life. Brad is a character who arouses sympathy but at some moments in the history his behavior is quite shameful. I understand he is in a difficult situation trying to satisfy everyone but the way he treats his girlfriend is rude to say the least. Brad's mother and brother are horrible but I cannot help but feel a little sorry for them mainly because I do not know how I would do if I suffer a betrayal as they suffered. I liked Nashan but would like to know a little more of his life besides some superficial information. As I said the story is well developed and treated seriously by the author. Some scenes in the book are hard to read especially for anyone suffering or knows someone who suffers from the disease. The relationship between Brad and Nashan starts with friendship and evolves over the course of history, which I think is a wise decision because Brad is not ready emotionally to do so. For those who like sex in your books, I do not recommend this book. There is one frottage scene between the two at the end of the book and that's all. I really liked this book and i recommend it to anyone who wants to read a story of overcoming and fighting for what you want.
