| Note: This novel is part of the Texoma Series
Jinks, Texasa town like no other. The twin Eddies, Edwin T and Edward C, are members of the band Bone Cold-Alive and had been introduced to this funny little town last year when their band manager, Levi Fletcher, had decided that the wild and woolly crew needed some rehab. Foisting them on the town had certainly turned both the band members and the towns inhabitants around. Eddie T had turned into an upright, fairly solid citizen to the horror of his wild, partying twin. Hed dropped drugs and drink, fallen in love, married and was turning into a real homebody, to all disgrace. His twin stayed a wild one, needless to say. Eddie C gets tossed out of his brothers house by his twin Eddie T, and that is due to the fact that Eddie Ts wife Lyla just cant stand Eddie C being there. Since Lyla rules the roose, so shall the decision stand. Due to the fact that Lyla plays a nasty joke on Eddie C and he isnt able to get a motel room in the area, he ends up at the realty agents in town, the first one run by Jemma Lovelace, a good friend of Lyla. At first she makes no effort to help and sends him to the other realtor nearby. But the meeting stays with both of them; the attraction is mind-blowing. The sparks she felt with the charismatic man are undeniable. Eddie C, Charles to only a special few, has the strangest craving for Ms. Jemma Lovelace. She is about the most different from his usual type of woman as could be but thoughts of her are constantly invading his mind. Lyla watches the situation and she can feel the connection between the cool Jemma and the rocking womanizer Charles, and she begins to wonder. Is this playboy really serious about reforming? Jemma finds herself unable to get Edward Charles out of her mind; he is nothing like what she might go for in a man, if she ever did actually go for one, but his insistence that he is going to woo her, drives her up the wall. What girl might really, truly be able to resist such a creature? The fact that he reeks of sheer male sexuality certainly isnt missed by her body, either. Charles cant figure out why he is fascinated by this woman. He tries to attach himself to an ex-girlfriend, just to test his feelings but learns quickly that it doesnt help at all. Jemma is the one meant for him and he knows he has it really bad for her. I liked this novel. Having also read Saras Soul, from this Series, first, I had a different feel for the characters than if Id read them in order, I think. Definitely an interesting series and enjoyable reading.
