As hard as it was to believe, their almost-relationship would get worse before it could possibly become a happily ever after. No one could make that transition more effectively than Ms. Cat Johnson. I admire her work and actively seek her books. I have never been disappointed with her.

Lia and Jimmy were well-known in their opposite places in society. Both had strong personalities and were relatively happy. Their interactions, from the pen of Cat Johnson, proved how strong, yet vulnerable, both individuals were. There were several strong secondary characters that made the plot explosive. This fast-moving book was hard, almost impossible, to put down.

Johnson's writing style involves an intense level of sensuality. The sexual tension helped make the storyline the winner it is. The sex was graphic, but not offensive. There were several obstacles to overcome. Johnson excelled in both her storyline and her conclusion. I admit I was surprised how it ended.

I highly recommend this book. I don't believe anyone will be disappointed in this work.
