| Ellen Anderson is devastated when she loses her grandmother's ring down the bathtub drain. Enter an attractive plumber who slices his hand open and bleeds all over her bedroom. As a Patient Ambassador, she's used to handling injuries but this is only the first in a run of casualties, convincing her she's a jinx to this sexy man.
Rick Braswell feels he is stuck in a rut. When he injures himself, passes out, then sneaks off after retrieving an heirloom ring during a late-night plumbing emergency, he forgets all about his early mid-life crisis. The beautiful young customer he didn't bill is bent on tracking him down and involving him in the worst run of luck in his life. Rick wouldn't trade one moment of this calamity. In fact, he's hoping for a lifetime of lost keys and accidents. I was in a constant fit of giggles while reading this book and I couldn't put it down, waiting to see just what this quaint couple would get up to next. Point of fact, it wasn't just giggles, it was snickers and deep down belly laughs at some points. This was a delightful romp to read. I enjoyed the slightly warped sense of humor and the sizzling sexual tension. Rick and Ellen are just so darn likable and the plumber is so yummy I'm contemplating flushing a hand towel to see if I can land one of my own. The secondary characters added to the story without taking over and I'd love to attend a Braswell family gathering. If you are looking for a fun, sweet happily-ever-after this is the book for you.
