Lucy Collins worked with her family at The Turtle Creek Newspaper in Southern Wisconsin. Her father was close to retirement and she and her brother were vying for the position of replacing their father. They desperately needed an editor to increase their circulation. Their small town wouldn’t accommodate two newspapers and there was a large, well-known company planning to move into their town after the first of the year. Lucy was determined to beat the competition. She had seriously prayed for an editor. When a stranger came into the office, she assumed he was the answer to her prayers.

Joe McNamara was surprised when Lucy seemed to know what he was there for. He was a quick thinker and agreed with her. He even wrote an editorial to prove he was capable. She hired him, her parents took him home with them, and rented their garage apartment to him—the same hour they met him. Mike, Lucy’s brother, was suspicious from the beginning. He was sure Joe wasn’t the man he portrayed himself to be.

Ms. Robin Shope has written another book about Turtle Creek, Wisconsin. I have been fortunate to have read each one and this one is fabulous. Her characters are dynamic and quite believable. Her gambit of emotional ups and downs made a wonderful read. I found myself mesmerized by the actions of their main characters. The story was so fast-paced it was almost impossible to put the book down.

Ms. Shope was able to tell the story of God without preaching or turning anyone off. Her supporting characters were so involved with the storyline that it was easy to become part of the book. I love her writing style and appreciate her attention to details and the depth of her characters.

I highly recommend this book as one anyone can read and appreciate. Robin Shope is bound to become a favorite to others. Good job, Ms. Shope!
