Mischa is a writer who's looking to expose "The Stronger Wings Camp and Conference Center" and their "reparative therapy" program for homosexuals. He is doing this to prove that they are wrong and also to get some closure on a relationship that ended badly because of a similar program. When Mischa gets to the camp, he finds Jude there. Mischa met Jude twice before and was attracted to him. He is dismayed that Jude is there and would like to save him and the others but he can't save everyone and every time he tries the camp founder shows up. Can he save Jude before the camp does?

This an emotionally engaging book, that while it started out a bit slow for me, kept my attention throughout the book. I couldn't wait to find out what happened to Jude. The plot is well written and tells a unique story. It draws out emotions from the average reader that they probably did not know they could feel and enlightens us to the questions and feelings that many gay people experience about their sexuality and how it affects their families and lives. The author builds wonderfully complex characters out of her imagination. The main characters are at times almost over shadowed by the sub characters. Jude is quiet and unassuming with a dry sense of humor but you can feel how torn he is about how his sexuality is perceived by others while Mischa is an outspoken, passionate and witty character who ends up trying to save everyone and ends up being saved. The sub characters of Ashton and Hammer are stereotypical yet so well defined that you can't help but feel for their plight. There are some m/m situations in the book but they are few and far between and do not overpower the story but actually need to be told to understand the characters relationship better. This a story for those who like drama with their romance, the author gives you insights into very real issues for homosexuals and makes you want to start crusading for their cause.
