| Cate was scared. There is a shortage of women due to a virus that had been spread that specifically attacks women. Because of this, there is the Claiming law. She would have to be claimed by three males, and they have to show they deserve you by taping it and showing it to the authorities. She didn't want to be claimed by this law, and thought it was barbaric and twisted. Her lover is back from war, and wouldn't you know he has two brothers. He thinks that she will go with it, but she wants no part of it.
Jude had come back to a country that was in chaos. There were not enough women to go around, so his lover will have to go to whoever can claim her best. He doesn't want to allow that to happen, so he feels that he and his brothers are her best choice. When he finds Cate he realizes that he still loves her. But he has a hidden agenda that must be followed. Will he be willing to sacrifice his love? Outlaw Lovers: Jude Outlaw is an interesting twist on a future world that has a scarce supply of women. I was surprised that Jude would be so willing to share Cate. I was also a little annoyed that he went on with his life, and Cate stuck around and waited for him. I thought that either she should have gone on with her life, or he should have waited too. I thought it made their love seem weaker than it was. The story over all flowed well, and the characters were well rounded and likeable. It will be fun to see what this author comes up with next in this series, and I look forward to seeing more from her.
