Ashley is vacationing on Frangipani Island as a gift from her boss when she meets the very handsome architect, Julian. After a rocky start, they begin spending a lot of time together and their relationship moves into a sexual one. Soon Ashley's vacation is over and upon her return to New York; Ashley faces the reality of life without Julian. However, she realizes their relationship is not over since Julian has been commissioned to design the new wing to Ashley's boss's house.

This is the sequel to Handsome Devil. Julian and Ashley's story was written in a very simple style, much like Ashley's personality. She was sweet, innocent, and almost too quiet to be a noticeable heroine. Julian, with all his wealth, was very benevolent and yet his ex-wife had colored his feelings towards the female sex. This story glides along without any one scene standing out and once I finished reading it, I felt like I had read a sweet love story with some sex written into it. The dialogue played a large part in the sweetness factor. Like I said, Ashley has an innocent type personality and Julian tempered his own emotions in deference to Ashley. Their conversations and the islander's reaction to Ashley were quiet and sweet. It was nice to revisit Chiara and Jason from Handsome Devil and see how they were progressing with their lives.
