| Dr. Juli Gregenmeyer was a veterinarian. She was engaged to Dr. Harris Monroe, a pediatrician. He wanted a trophy wife; she wanted to open a retreat for old show horses, Morningstar Haven. Harris was irritated when Juli would be called out during the night. He never acknowledged that her job was important. It was evident there were serious problems in the relationship. It was just a few months before her 30th birthday. Her inheritance was hers at 30 only if she was married. Otherwise, she wouldn’t get it until she was 40.
Juli rushed to Windy Creek Farms in the middle of the night for the emergency call from Riley Hampton. He was skeptical when she arrived instead of one of the seasoned vets. She saved his colt that night. Before she left him, he gave her a kiss she could not forget. This could seriously jeopardize her dream of opening her dream shelter. Ms. Mary Winter has a sensual, emotionally charged hit. She has taken a unique plot and developed a book that was absolutely impossible to put down. Her characters were so believable and expanded in such a way that it was almost like being personally involved. Many books with so much sexual content would have minimum storyline. That is not the case here. Winter has a way with words that captivated this reader. Obviously I loved this book. I wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s graphic, but not vulgar.
