| Kelsey Winters is a nurse with a strict rule - cops and firemen are not to be considered where affairs of the heart are concerned. The tragedy she's witnessed in her career cautions her to guard against giving her heart to such modern-day heroes. But sexy fireman Tyler Reid is a temptation that she can't resist...
Tyler Reid can't understand why Kelsey would choose a stuffy accountant over him. Still he's ever-hopeful that the beautiful Kelsey might change her mind and give him a chance to put out the fire of their passion that threatens to blaze out of control. Just a One Night Stand does everything a short story should - it utilizes snappy, believable dialogue to flesh out the story where there is no room for narrative and gives the reader a sense that they have witnessed a major turning point in a character's life. No easy task. The much-anticipated consummation of the sexual promise between these two characters is hampered to a small degree by emotional misunderstanding between hero and heroine, but the ending is touching and perfect for the story. This reviewer is very anxious to see future work by Ms. Fallon.
