| Annabelle Tinker is worried about her sister. She has been committed to a psychiatric ward at the hospital. Erin, Annabelle's sister believes her boyfriend Lucas Riley was kidnapped by aliens. She said that they were just having sex and bam! Sparkling lights and he was gone. Now it is up to Annabelle to find Lucas and find out what has happened. If he took advantage of her sister he was going to be so sorry. To make matters more complicated, Gaelen, Lucas's brother, has started hanging around. He has asked her out and seems to be concerned in finding his brother. Going out with him is not a problem because he is drop dead gorgeous. The only problem is when Lucas doesn't want Gaelen to know where he is hiding. Annabelle is attracted to Gaelen it's just too bad that he's a fairy.
Just Believe is a delightful story filled with folklore. The title comes from if you don't believe in fairies that they fade and cease to exist. This story is based on loving in spite of the differences and consequences. Lucas and Gaelen are forbidden to reveal themselves to mortals. The characters are well developed. Gaelen is a Celtic Lit. professor at the university. He has forgotten some of his heritage and does not take time to appreciate the things he should. He always believes in and obeys the laws of his people. He loves his brother but he will make sure he shows up to stand in front of the council to be judged. Annabelle believes her sister has lost touch with reality. She will do whatever it takes to take care of her, even if it means believing. She helps Gaelen in seeing all he has been missing. The dialogue in the story is fluid and easy to follow. The romance in the story is sweet and quite entertaining. There are absolutely some surprises that come from the differences. Just Believe written by Anne Manning is a delightful story that left me smiling.
