Angel Brewster had sworn off men. With two disasters in the past, she felt it was safer to concentrate on her job as a columnist working for Women's Wit and Wisdom that was located in downtown Portland. Angel liked her job as a feminist writer, she supported women's rights. Lord knew she was a basket case when she started to work there because her ex-fiance and her best friend and bridesmaid were caught in bed the day before her wedding! Had it not been for BJ, her boss and mentor, she would still be mashed potatoes to a man. Oh yeah, Robert had really done a number on her by demoralizing her. Just when Angel decided to test the dating waters again, she met Nate. After two weeks of dating him Angel discovered that he was married, had three kids, plus he had lied about his age. The man was twelve years older than her thirty-two!

Angel was watching old movies and eating chocolate chips out of a bag when Henry snatched the bag away, ate a third, and then started convulsions. Angel was so upset when he did not respond to her voice that she flew out the door to seek help not realizing that she still had a white night gown on. Angel had heard that her neighbor was a doctor and she wasted no time ringing his doorbell and banging on his door, she did not care that it was 3 AM in the morning. Henry needed help now! When the door was answered, Angel could not help but noticed that the doctor was drop dead gorgeous, that there was a huge bulge in his shorts, and some thing chinked in her heart.

Max Wiley was having a very erotic dream where he was just about to have sex with a big blonde and busty angel wearing a white night gown. Just when he got to the good part his doorbell rang, followed by a frantic pounding on his door. As Max glanced at the clock in his bedroom, he saw that he had only gotten a couple of hours of sleep. Max worked late nights where he pounded out hard boiled crime fiction. It was the best time to work when he felt that he would not be interrupted. Max leaped out of the bed, grabbed a baseball bat, then ran down the stairs. Someone was going to pay for interrupting his dream big time! Max yanked the door open to find his angel in front of him wearing a white cotton night gown and she was drop dead gorgeous! Oh man, if this was a dream he did not want to wake up!

Daisey Dexter Dobbs creates a hilarious story that I thoroughly enjoyed reading when she pairs a feminist columnist with a male chauvinist writer and my do the sparks fly as each tries to get the upper hand. Just Like a Dame was well written and kept me entertained from the very first page. It was filled with hot and spicy sex that will leave you panting for breath! This one is definitely a keeper readers! Well done Ms. Dobbs!
