| Teddy Bardin started a new life when he moved to Paris from New York to be with his husband Auguste. A phone call puts his new life in jeopardy. Auguste has been injured in a car accident and he wasn't alone. The injury to his private parts is alarming and suspicious at best. Teddy learns that Auguste has been unfaithful to him with the other passenger in the car. There are more truths for Teddy on the horizon and he soon realizes his new life is not what he envisioned. It's time for Teddy to make some much needed changes.
The premise of this story is intriguing and I was more than intrigued to see what Mr. Llewellyn would do with it. Starting out a romance with an infidelity could be tricky but he cleverly pulled it off. A very charming story despite the less than savory component. As always, the author's brilliance at writing very descriptive characters in vivid settings shines through. He has a knack for making the reader feel like a part of the canvas, so to speak. I imagined myself there with Teddy offering him comfort while enjoying a nice repast at a quaint Paris cafe. I think I was more upset at Auguste than Teddy was and found myself laughing out loud at some of the character's inner thoughts. The ending may not be how I would have resolved the situation but in retrospect I understand and admit it was perfect. All in all, it was a breezy engaging read about three men making the best of a bad situation, learning from their mistakes and moving on. I thought the author did a good job with this one.
