| Kyle Hansen was a tried and true, hell-raising cowboy whose life was screwed up all around. Seven years ago, he met and fell in love with a woman, Juel Kelly, who had his son, Parker. After a couple months of perfect bliss, Kyle caught Juel with another man—on the night he had planned to propose. He still loved her but refused to have any contact except what was necessary concerning their son.
Juel was eleven years older than Kyle. She always felt that had doomed their relationship from the beginning. Kyle was so young he didn’t want to hear her side of the story of the encounter he walked in on. Kyle didn’t believe that the man was taking advantage of her. Their mutual friends, the Hansen’s, conspired with Kyle’s sister to bring them together again. This was a short, fast-paced, erotic book with more sensuality and sexual escapades than most. However, the storyline was able to cover plenty of interesting information so that a really poignant plot was developed. The characters were dynamic, and they had both been extremely hurt during and after their short-lived relationship. The only common ground they had was their son. They seemed to be great parents. Ms. Blaise managed to tell her story in fewer words than many. Seldom have I ever read a work that developed such a highly sensitive, fact-filled book. I haven’t read any others in this series. However, I will search for others. I recommend it highly.
