Emma Sanders had grown in up in New York City a beautiful, only child of George Sanders, who owned a shipyard. Her father has always encouraged her learning and she was now a great source of knowledge in the business and had plans to one day run it for him. Men had never been that important to her until the handsome logger from Minnesota came to town to talk business.

Tyler Wilkins hated leaving his daughter alone while he made this business trip. But if he did get the partnership he desired with the Sanders' shipyard it could be a very lucrative enterprise. After two years he still mourned his late wife Sarah and no other woman had entered his thoughts until Emma came bouncing into the library while he had been talking to her father. He was immediately attracted to her. He vowed he would not touch her, as he never wanted another to take the place of his dear, past wife's memory. But things began to happen when they are thrown together on a daily basis.

KEEPER OF THE SPIRIT by Kim Matson is one of the best stories I have read in some time. She takes us to Minnesota in the time of the great logging industries in our history and weaves a web of intrigue, romance and strong family values. The reader will get so involved in the close-knit Wilkins story they will forget they are only reading a book. The novel has everything. Humor, emotions, fear and desires fill the pages. I would recommend anything this author wrote. She is excellent in her craft and I am looking forward to the next adventure Ms. Matson has in store.
