Daniel and Ryan were reunited at Ryan's twin sister's wedding after being apart for four years. Hoping to build a life together, Daniel proposes to Ryan. Ryan accepts as he would like nothing better than to let go of the past and contribute more to their relationship so he can feel more like an equal partner, but things just keep coming against them. Ryan's parents do not want to accept that he is gay and are trying to break up the couple. There also seem to be other forces against them. Can Ryan move past these obstacles and move towards the life he has always wanted with Daniel?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It has everything a love story should have in it. There are moments that will make you smile and feel good and moments that will make you cry, sometime both at the same time. This story is the second in the series and it is not necessary to read the first but it makes this story so much better if you do, because is builds on and adds more depth to the characters we met in the first. It also introduces us to some new supporting characters. The plot was sometimes difficult for me to believe because I just could not imagine parents acting like Ryan's even though I know there are probably some out there that do. The relationship between Ryan and Daniel is touching, the way they care for each and the things that Daniel is willing to do to make sure Ryan is happy makes me almost envious of Ryan. There is some steamy m/m scenes in the book so if this not something you like to read about this might not be the book for you. This was the first book I read by this author, but I look forward to reading more. This a great read for those who like a really romantic story.
